अनेकता में एकता

मत भेद, लोकतंत्र की है जान  

उसी जान को , जान से  मत,  मार डालो भाई 

अलग विचार  रखने  वालों को , मत पुकारो "देश द्रोही" 

ऐसा करने  से तुम , 'संविधान द्रोही'  कहलाओगे  !

प्रजातंत्र  में सहमति 

बन्दूक, दबाव या मज़बूर करके नहीं 

बात , बातचीत 

लेना देना से ही चलता है 

लोकतंत्र का पहिये ! 

भजीचे की विशेषता व सुंदरता 

बनती है  तरह तरह के  फूलों से  

एक ही फूल से भरा  प्रदेश  

वह जितना भी सुन्दर हो, भगीचा नहीं बनता 

जैसे सिर्फ खीर से , वह जितना भी स्वादिष्ट हो 

पूरा भोजन नहीं बनता!   

भारतीय  उपमहाद्वीप में सदियों से 

गूंजता हुआ आवाज़ है " अनेकता में एकता" 

तो लगाओ  नारा  देशवासियों   

प्यारे प्यारे  भारतवासियों, कि

"जियो और जीने दो "  

राजीव मूतेडत

English Translation :  Unity in Diversity  

Dissent is the very life blood of a democracy

do not take the very life out of  democracy Brother!  

do not call a person having a different view from yours "Anti national"

You will end up being called "Anti constitution" yourself

Assent and agreement in a democracy

is  achieved by talks, interaction, discussions 

not through gun, coercion or causing helplessness

it is through give and take

that the wheel of democracy moves... 

The beauty and uniqueness of a garden 

springs from its variety in terms of  flowers and plants 

a place filled  with only one type of flowers

no matter how pretty it is, cannot be called a  'Garden" 

like a dinner  of only  ** Kheer/ payasam 

no matter how tasty it is, cannot be called a full meal 

For eons, the voice that boomed 

in the Indian subcontinent 

has been that of "Unity in Diversity" 

so go  ahead, oh country men 

sweet,  dear citizens of India!  

dance and sing to the call of

"Live and let live!"
