Twenty one Day Introspection

The good Lord created all beings
animate & inanimate to complement
and exist in harmony

This wasn't however good enough
for the more intelligent beings
who believed that everything else
was created for their own happiness
for their own pleasure, exploitation

After exploiting everything else
they started doing it on their own kind
differentiate persecute, on grounds
of race, colour, geographies, religion
brutally damaging the balance of nature

The virus of today, an opportunity
to introspect? contemplate? make amends?
21 days is significant for change
change of habits, outlook
that can impact a life time...

As for me, would love to go
into a long slumber- deep sleep
unaware of the challenges like
panic buying of  groceries or milk
and forgetting all the animosity, hatred
violence perpetrated by mankind ..

Finally, wake up  like Rip Van Winkle
all the past forgotten, erased by amnesia
waking up to a new  order
where all of existence is in harmony
and Love is the presiding deity...
