Great Advice on Living from Mark Twain

  • Age is in your mind more than anywhere else. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
  • Humour is one of the most important things. Humour helps in all situations.
  • Anger will hurt you more than  help you
  • The world doesn't owe you. You owe yourself. You do deserve the best but you will need to go and get it yourselves
  • Having a new idea is not a crime.Don't let anyone tell you that your ideas are too "weird"'.
  • Don't let your thoughts dwell in the negative. You must watch your thoughts because it is so easy to get into the habit of thinking negatively. Thinking positively is one of the best gifts you can give yourselves.
  • Instead of worrying about yourself, worry about others and help.
  • Try everything, regret nothing. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by what you did not do than the ones you did. So when you think you want to do something, do it.

  1. For 5 to hold, it is really important with whom does the person shares ideas. Those who know better, and really matter, never discourage or belittle others' ideas, however crazy they might be. If it is not workable, they would simply ask 'What makes you think so?' and then little by little they would show the various flaws in the idea. It is very important to stay in proper company.
