Age is just a Number

A person from a humble background 

used to collect water unfailingly

everyday, from a public tap

the neighbourhood was celebrating his 70th birthday  

A few youngsters said "Grandpa, you are now 70

don't come to collect water from now on

one of us will bring it for you.." 

"So what has happened between yesterday and today?

in twenty four hours?"  asked the spirited man 

"How is it that i have abruptly become weak and feeble?

No way, I am getting my water myself!"  

Age is just a number

it's all about what you feel inside

about losing it if you are not using it

about not believing in the myth passed on for eons

that at age 40, you will catch this disease

at 45, that one. This and that, that and this

and by 60, unfit for any activity, physical or mental..

remember, you will lose it if you don't use it

Age is just a number...
