One can no longer be
the unique self that
humans were meant to be
A place for everyone
the extrovert and the the introvert
the bubbly, the shy
and the quiet ones too
Now the norm, expectations
is sameness, read boring
everyone pulsating, raring to go
else be left out, unnoticed
like a piece of furniture
in the background.....
Even poets, singers, behind the scene artists
who once valued privacy, change for survival
its not about their lines being read or heard
To be of any value, to be noticed
people have to be seen! not just heard.....

Masks have become more important today than ever. People are not what they seem to be. They want to be seen with their masks.
