Disciplined Celebration

IndiBlogger Badge

Deepavali, the festival of lights
brings a lot of happiness,
bonding, feasting  and fun
unique, exciting part of celebration
are the fireworks- colour and sound
of which some just can't have enough!

The very fireworks
that give so much pleasure
if handled carelessly, unsupervised
or in excess...
could be source of tragedy and sadness
with little ones losing an eye
a limb or sustaining 30% burns...

Similarly, the social media
can be real fun
a source of pleasure and bonding
yet, if handled wrongly
carelessly and in excess...
could also result in tragedy

The likes, comments,emoticons
that gave so much pleasure & thrill
could cause sadness and depression
when they suddenly slow down or disappear...

The happy exchanges with strangers
exciting and fun filled
could lose its charm, become nightmare
when trolled, pursued
vilified, blackmailed....

The trick then is discipline
enjoyment in moderation
be it fireworks or the social media
keeping it on a leash, in  control
not allowing it to turn Frankenstein!

Honesty on one's terms...

Honest bureaucrat praised by you
when in opposition
now you see the same guy
as a headache who  needs to be banished
to an insignificant, harmless  post...

No wonder then, civil servants
with this quality are becoming less and less
and they may soon become
an extinct species....

Great Advice on Living from Mark Twain

  • Age is in your mind more than anywhere else. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
  • Humour is one of the most important things. Humour helps in all situations.
  • Anger will hurt you more than  help you
  • The world doesn't owe you. You owe yourself. You do deserve the best but you will need to go and get it yourselves
  • Having a new idea is not a crime.Don't let anyone tell you that your ideas are too "weird"'.
  • Don't let your thoughts dwell in the negative. You must watch your thoughts because it is so easy to get into the habit of thinking negatively. Thinking positively is one of the best gifts you can give yourselves.
  • Instead of worrying about yourself, worry about others and help.
  • Try everything, regret nothing. Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by what you did not do than the ones you did. So when you think you want to do something, do it.

LOA Series-12 LOA and Health

A good feeling body
promotes positive thoughts
equally true is the line
"positive thoughts promote
a good feeling body"

Complaining of ill health
stalls recovery
disallows physical well being...
instead of complaining
find better feeling thoughts
about your health first
then follow it up with inspired action

The tip for handling pain
is to look for times/segments
when throbbing/ intensity of pain is less
then focus on well being...

What you do in terms of action
for promoting good health
far less important than
the thoughts you think
the way you feel about health
your vibrational  balance
or the story you tell...

As you tell yourself stories
of what you want in terms of health
instead of  the way it's at present
you feel happy, energized and  healthy!

NB:  Law of Attraction-  LOA
